Halloween at the Louisville Zoo

Each year the Louisville Zoo puts on a big Halloween trick or treating party for the kids. This year they had a lot of characters that the kids wanted pictures with. As always we had a great time. It was especially fun this year with Grandpa Bridges tagging along. Next time he comes we'll be sure to get him in a picture that isn't blurry. Sorry Dad, no pictures of you this time.

Lauren (Supergirl), Carter (Darth Vader), Chelsea (Snow White) and Devon (?The Grim Reaper?)

The unmasked children so we know that it was really them when we look back at these pictures.

Bruce and that goofy wig! He wears it every Halloween. It's his way of participating without actually having to dress up. If he had the time I think he would go all out.

Despite the lack of pictures of the boys, they have a blast in Chicago too!

The Wind Storm in Louisville

We had a major wind storm hit Louisville that knocked power out for over 300,ooo people. Some were without power for as long as 2 weeks. We only had to last about 36 hours, but that was long enough. We were the hit of our street that day. Bruce was out of town so several men on our street brought their axes and saws and trucks with hitches to chop our tree down and hall it away. The kids thought it was great because school was cancelled for an entire week. We went to the zoo a couple times during the week so that is what most of these pictures are of.

Peek-a-Boo, I Smell You

I might regret posting these pictures and admitting what they are, but it's kind of funny. Chelsea likes to hide when she is "doing her business". Well, I guess it really wore her out the other night because Bruce couldn't find her for a while, but smelled something in our closet and found her asleep under my skirts with a poopy diaper. Thank goodness she wasn't there long and the smell didn't transfer to any of my clothes.

When the Dream Was Still Alive

Bruce took Devon and Carter to a Cubs game in Cincinnati. This was back when it looked like the Cubs were actually going to be good enough to make it to the World Series. Oh well!!!
I'm not sure why I'm even putting these pictures in my blog. I am trying to catch up and this is part of what happened in September. It's kind of sad to see how excited the boys were.

Bruce and Lauren

This picture needs no explanation. I just thought it was cute.
